Early years children and their families are invited to explore Lynn Museum with a variety of activities, trails, songs, games and stories. These sessions have a different theme each month, and are specially designed for early years learning, allowing young children the chance to explore the museum in their own way. 19 September: Cave Baby 17 October: Dogs 21 November: Fairytales 19 December: Christmas Please note that online booking is not yet available for the autumn series, but tickets can be reserved by calling 01553 775001 or emailing lynn.museum@norfolk.gov.uk.

Every last Friday of the month*, join us for a relaxing hot drink, cake and activity, ranging from crafts to handling artefacts. Each session will have a different activity. Coffee Mornings are open to all and free to attend; includes museum admission. 27 September: Corn Dollies 25 October: Cross Stitch Keyrings 29 November: Rag Wreath Making *Please note there will be no Coffee Morning in December.

In this illustrated talk, Ciara Farrell (head of the Culture and Heritage Department at the Kennel Club, London) will be discussing the domestication of dogs, their role as working animals and their transition, during the 19th Century, to being pets and companions. Booking is recommended as seating is limited.

The Finds Identification and Recording Service from Norfolk County Council will be at Lynn Museum to take a look at your material and talk to you about recording. Admission to the museum will be free for all visitors, but pre-booking is recommended.
