Join us on a tour exploring the heritage of the museum site, including a closer look at the magnificent medieval flint wall and a behind the scenes walk around the largest vaulted undercroft in the city. Tickets include museum admission. Tour duration 45 minutes. Please note that the undercroft is accessed by stairs - unfortunately there is no step-free access to this part of the building; all other areas have step-free access.

An online talk with Daniel & Clara, Rachel Rose, Serena Korda and Peter Treherne - four contemporary artists reimagining myth, history and landscape. Exploring ideas of paradise, magic, ritual, and how changes in the landscape both reflect and impact changes in the imagination and collective psyche, this event will feature four talks by artists grappling with narratives that have shaped the British landscape and our shifting relationships to nature. Each artist will give a presentation about their work, followed by a Q&A with the audience. Join Sally Harris, author of deliciously sinister creepy ghost stories for a reading at Strangers' Hall. The custom of sharing ghost stories at Christmas time is a Victorian pastime although its roots are believed to be even older. Sally will be sharing her stories for 40 minutes, followed by festive punch and mince pies in the Undercroft. The Hallowed Histories Project celebrates the folklore, legends, and historical traditions of East Anglia. We are dedicated to supporting the vast and varied cultural heritage of our region which offers a unique array of literature, film, media, art and performance. Our Creative Writing Events feature the work of local authors whilst our Podcast researches East Anglian history and folklore for a dedicated listenership of over 3,000 both nationally and internationally. Our multisensory Snaplings sessions investigate a different theme inspired by our museum collections each month. Each session follows the pace of our tiny explorers, providing plenty of time and space for little ones to follow their interests and make their own discoveries! Each child ticket will allow you to book one adult ticket. All tickets include museum entry for the whole day. The location of Snaplings can vary within the museum, a member of the Learning Team will be at the entrance to greet you and take you to the space.

Snapdragons sessions (for 2-4s) build on the multisensory approach of Snaplings (for 0-2s), getting us moving around the galleries to bring in further opportunities for chatting, investigation and shared discovery. Each session will see us getting stuck in and hands on as we explore the different treasures the museum has to offer! Each child ticket will allow you to book one adult ticket. All tickets include museum entry for the whole day. The location of Snapdragons can vary within the museum, but a member of the Learning Team will be at the entrance to greet you and take you to the space.
