Winter Talk - WW1 Trench life, using cartoons and songs Nigel will discuss the everyday life and conditions of British soldiers in the trenches on the Western Front in 1914-18. Utilising cartoons, songs and photographs he will illustrate the way in which 'Tommy' humour enabled many to survive despite the horror. There will also be an opportunity to handle original artefacts and equipment.
