Norfolk has far more churches than any other county - almost 1,000 at one time. Many are amongst the finest in the country as Norfolk was one of the richest counties when churches were being built, but many of them are completely isolated and separate from their congregations - how do these opposing situations arise?

Nigel Amies MA is a museum professional and regular speaker and will, in this illustrated talk, discuss how armies in the past have harnessed the relationships of trust between men and dogs in the pursuit of war. His focus will primarily be on how the British Army utilised dogs for the war effort in WW1 and WW2. Booking is recommended as seating is limited.
