Join us for a seaside fun day, exploring the traditions of the seaside through time. There'll be traditional Punch & Judy shows by Dave Doughnut, performed throughout the day. Victorian seaside objects and crafts too. Punch & Judy 11-15, 12-30, 2-00 & 3-15. We've got extra activities at the museum for the summer, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Time & Tide! From Thursday 25th July - Thursday 29th August Lots of dinosaur activities, celebrating the Dinosaurium: Re-imagined Creatures exhibition, some maritime classics and other activities too. Willow weaving expert Karen Bek, is bringing her expertise to Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse with a willow sculpture workshop. Spend the day creating willow sculpture - choose to make a duck, a chicken, a hare or a pig, or select to make a few smaller items such as birdfeeders, dragonflies and bulrushes. All tools and materials supplied. Please be advised that refreshments are not provided; you are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch and the Mardlers' Rest Café will be open throughout the day. Willow working can be hard on the hands and does require some strength. Karen will be able to support you and the workshop enables short breaks. Bring a notebook and pen if you want to take notes. A limited number of Museum Passholder discounted places are available from 15 July; please contact Karen directly to enquire before booking.
