Unveiled in 2023, there's a new blue plaque just up the road from Cromer Museum on Church Street. Have you seen it yet? We'll be exploring the life and work of Alfred Savin, who appears on this plaque, lokking at some of his writign and collections. We'll also look at the story of another notable Cromer figure, Ana Gurney. Alfred Collison Savin (1860-1948) lived in Beach Road, Cromer. He had many interests & wrote one of the definitive histories of Cromer, 'Cromer in the County of Norfolk' It is believed he made this carving of a dog's head in jet.
